Fall Release Finn Pinot Noir
2019

Winemaker’s Notes

It is hard to believe that this is the 20th vintage of our Finn bottling – where did all those years go? Vintage after vintage, this wine is a complex bottling from our two favorite, neighboring vineyard parcels on complementary soils of sand and clay – hence the wine’s kaleidoscopic range and pinpoint detail.

This is the deepest and most pure of the Pinot Noirs we made from the 2019 vintage, a profound wine that combines layers of ripe fruit with dynamic coastal freshness and the lifted energy of the vines themselves. The wine achieves its beauty not through extravagant fruit ripeness, but via the precise farming and harvesting of these pedigreed vineyard parcels.

Classic Finn aromatic and flavor profile: dark, wild berry fruits, truffle sweetness, and a lifted herbal edge. Vibrant, supple, and layered on the palate, the wine maintains its brightness despite the breadth and concentration of its expansive fruit core. Outstanding purity and focus follow through to a long lingering finish that features fragrant orange zest among the deep dark fruit tones. Drink between 2022 and 2032.
