Sonoma CoastBressay Estate Vineyard

Our Bressay parcel sits atop an east-facing plateau west of Highway 116, about 10 miles from the Pacific. Its predominate feature is very sandy, shallow soil with sandstone bedrock very close to the surface. We planted this site with extremely high density, 3,630 vines per acre to produce very small vines with a very limited amount of fruit on each. This results in wines of great complexity and concentration while the soil type lends a beautiful intensity and freshness. As these vines have come of age – and we have learned the nuances of this unique site and understand the vines’ response to them – we are achieving truly extraordinary fruit.
